Collection Item Summary:

NASA flew a remotely-controlled IMAX camera from the payload bay of the space shuttle to film exterior elements for four films. From aft flight deck, astronauts used this controller to activate and operate the small Getaway Special unit attached to the ICBC (IMAX Cargo Bay Camera) to film the deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope during STS-31 in 1990 amongst other events.
