One-half front left view of a Curtiss JN-4HT (s/n 38057) dual-control trainer in a tree. The aircraft has hit the tree squarely about two-thirds of the way up; the left wings are still in place, the right wings have wrapped around the tree trunk, the propeller tips have broken off. Several men view the wreckage from the ground below the tree at right; three women visible at left background. Circa 1918-1920.
