This plastic bag was carried by John Glenn on his historic Friendship 7 mission in February, 1962 in which he became the first US astronaut to orbit the earth. During the mission, Glenn took numerous photographs of the earth, and this bag was was to be used for waterproof storage of exposed film before landing.
Transferred from NASA - Manned Spacecraft Center in 1963.
