[Detail view of one frame of an 8-frame scrap of motion picture film.] One-quarter front right side view, very close up, of the front of the cockpit nacelle of a Doutre 1911 Biplane, a Maurice Farman Type Militaire modified by the addition of a Doutre Automatic Stabilizer. The stabilizer, a piston-like apparatus with flat metal plate projecting from front, is seen mounted beneath the nose of the cockpit nacelle. Film was probably made during flight trials at Buc, France, in May 1911.
