Aviators Flight Log Book (US Navy Bureau of Aeronautics type 4111) belonging to United States Coast Guard Radioman Ross F. Eastman; records entries for the period July 23, 1943, through November 21, 1947, when Eastman was based at USCG Air Station Salem, on Winter Island in Salem, Massachusetts. Highlights include coastal patrols, rescues, and short hops in the Cape Cod region throughout 1944-45; cross-country flights on Consolidated PBY Catalinas in February and March 1946 from Naval Auxiliary Air Facility Beverly (Beverly, MA) to Seattle, Washington, and return; and Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress training in Florida in May 1946.
