One-half right front view, from test chamber looking into interior of wind tunnel, of National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA) Full Scale Tunnel (FST), a 30- by 60-foot subsonic wind tunnel at the Langley Research Center (LaRC), Langley, Virginia, July 30, 1932. The Loening XSL-1 (s/n 8696) is seen mounted in the test rack; note modified rudder and lack of cowling ring. Good view of one of the tunnel's two 35-foot propellers. Three men pose in various places to give scale.
