Physical Description

  • Two burner units attached to three copper tubes. Please note: this object bears resemblance to the 1896-era gasoline burner featured in Vol. 27, No. 3, Pl. 12, Picture "M","Langley Memoir of Mechanical Flight", p. 57. However the burners are much larger and spaced closer, suggesting a variation of design.
