This is a glove from a prototype spacesuit that International Latex Corporation submitted to NASA as part of the Apollo suit competition. The SPD-143-3 was the third suit that ILC produced for consideration at NASA. Its sole purpose was for training and evaluation in order to determine if the concept fit expectations for comfort and utility.

NASA transferred this glove to the Museum in 1970.
