One-half right front view of Kellett KD-1B Autogiro (r/n NC-15069) on the ground. On fuselage, "AM 2001 FIRST SCHEDULED AUTOGIRO AIRMAIL ROUTE IN THE WORLD". Note EASTERN AIR LINES logo beneath cockpit canopy. "AM 2001" on the fuselage denotes the airmail contract designation this aircraft served between the roof of Philadelphia's central post office and Camden Central Airport, New Jersey from July 6, 1939 to July 5, 1940.
