The Centaur balloon, owned by the Aero Club of America, prior to launch in a race with the Orient balloon, Pittsfield, Massachusetts, October 22, 1906. Centaur's pilot, Charles T. Walsh (wearing the cap) stands in the balloon basket, along with either Major Samuel Reber or Charles de Forest Chandler - both members of the crew.
