Composite photograph of the Colt Armalite AR-15 (M16) assault rifle featuring two views of the weapon with the parts broken down for field cleaning. The photograph also shows the results of penetration tests comparing the AR-15 with the .30 caliber M-2 carbine. The photograph was used in an exhibit by the Air Force Tactical Air Command's (TAC) 1st Air Commando Group during a training mission in the Panama Canal Zone.
