John J. Mongomery (left foreground, holding hat) and his cousin, Bishop George Montgomery, prior to the April 29, 1905 launched of Montgomery's tandem glider, Santa Clara College, California. One of the masts that supported Mongomery's hot-air balloon, used to launch the glider, is visible behind the glider.
