Linton B. Carney in the cockpit of a North American P-51C Mustang "Houstonian" (r/n N1202, race number 60), one of three P-51s owned by Paul Mantz and sponsored by Texas oilman Glenn McCarthy. National Air Races, Cleveland, Ohio, 1948. The lady on the wing is unidentified. The aircraft was later sold to Charles F. Blair and renamed "Excalibur III". It is on display in the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
