One-quarter left front view of North American P-51D Mustang "The Galloping Ghost" (r/n NX79111, race number 77). Standing on the wing is the pilot, either Steve Beville or Bruce Raymond, co-owners of the aircraft. North American P-51D. Later owned and extensively modified by Jimmy Leeward, "Galloping Ghost" crashed on September 16, 2011 during the National Championship Air Races, Reno, Nevada, killing Leeward and ten spectators.
