Collection Item Summary:
These overboots were worn by astronaut John Glenn during the walk from the suiting-up area to the transportvan, and then to the spacecraft. They were worn over the spacesuit and spacesuit boots, and were for the purpose of keeping the flight boots clean prior to the flight. These overboots were removed just before John Glenn entered Friendship 7.
