This pin celebrates the 25th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's 1961 flight as the first person in space. It is part of a large collection of pins donated to the National Museum of American History by Timothy Connelly, whose father assembled the collection. The space-related pins were later transferred to the National Air and Space Museum.
