Watercolor painting of Mr. Cocking in the basket of his parachute, right before ascension in the Royal Vauxhall Gardens. The parachute is shown hovering a few feet above the ground, with the Royal Nassau Balloon beyond the edge of the painting. Mr. Cocking is shaking hands with a few figures that are gathered around the basket. A larger crowd of observers is seen in the background.
