FORT BENNING, GA. (January 1964) - NEW HELICOPTER AIRLIFT-- The Army's new S-64A "SKYCRANE" demonstrates its equipment carrying capacity by airlifting an M-113 Armored Personnel Carrier. The "Skycrane" is capable of carrying external loads up to 10 tons and is produced for the Army by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation of Stratford, Conn.
