Collection Item Summary:

Paul R. Stockton (1880-1962) enlisted in the U.S. Army Signal Corps in 1906. He made his first flight in 1916 at Mineola, New York as a member of the First Aero Company, New York State National Guard. In 1917 Stockton was ordered overseas, and served as commanding officer of the 12th Aero Squadron of the American Expeditionary Forces during World War I. He later compiled a scrapbook detailing his service before, during and immediately after World War I. Front cover of Paul Stockton's scrapbook.
