Toy, Rocket Ship

Display Status:

This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.

Collection Item Summary:

This plastic, multistage rocket toy seems to be inspired at least in part by the shape and design of the V-2 rocket. The plastic composition suggests that it was made in the 1950s, when injection molding and innovations in the compositions of plastics made toys made from the material readily available at low prices.

Collector Michael O'Harro donated this toy to the Museum in 1993.
