Physical Description

  • Uncolored stipple engraving of a portrait of Vincent Lunardi sitting in a chair with his dog and his cat. Short poem about Lunardi below the image. Lunardi ascended from the the grounds of the Honorable Artillery Company, London, on September 15, 1784, with a cat, a dog, and a carrier pigeon.
  • "London, Pub'd. Novr. 1st, 1784 by Edwd. Hedges, No. 92, Cornhill."
