Third of three photo albums that document the activities of 1st Lt. Richard T. Pilling and the personnel of the 1st Aero Squadron during their involvement in World War I, 1917-1919. Photographs in this album show the aircraft of Albatros, Breuget, Bristol, de Havilland, Fokker, Halberstadt, Handley Page, L.F.G., LePFre, Nieuport, Royal Aircraft Factory, Salmson, Sopwith, SPAD, and Voisin, as well as French observation balloons and the rigid airship R34. This album also contains images of individuals (military personnel), dogs, landscapes, architecture, and battle damage.
