Douglas A-26 Invaders of the 9th AF smashed buildings and cut roads in the German communications center of Bitburg, Germany, Sunday, Jan. 14, during a heavy aerial offensive which added to the 100,000 ton total dropped by 9th Bombardment division medium and light bombers since July 16, 1943. Smoke rises from the town as Invaders roar away over the target area.
