Walter Wellman (1858-1934) holding a child (possibly one of his sons, Walter, Jr. or Francis) and standing in front of the Wellman-Vaniman "America" airship in its Atlantic City NJ hangar in October, 1910, not long before Wellman's transatlantic attempt of October 15, 1910. A pencilled caption on the back of the photograph says "Daddy Walter - My Boy and the Air Ship America - Atlantic City - October 1910.
