This container was fabricated by Ball Aerospace to hold the Shuttle Star Tracker for safe shipment. The tracker itself is fragile and requires special handling; therefore this container should be used whenever the tracker is moved.
Transferred from NASA to the Museum in 2000.
This object is not on display at the National Air and Space Museum. It is either on loan or in storage.
