Tevin and Tuskegee Airmen Puppet Show
Children will help Tevin find his letter "T" to spell Tuskegee Airmen and talk about things that fly.  A 30-minute interactive presentation incorporates a rod puppet, touchable objects, song, and body movement.

Try your hand at these hands-on activities:
All activities run from 10 am - 3 pm

  • Create a Tuskegee Airmen Squadron Badge to wear (age 3 )
  • Design medals inspired by those awarded to the Tuskegee Airmen (age 5 )
  • Build "binoculars" to use for plane spotting in the World War II exhibit (Gallery 205) (age 5 )
  • Construct P-51 Mustang airplanes out of craft sticks (age 5 )
  • Engineer a biplane as part of a Design-Build-Test challenge (age 7 )
  • Draw an escape map to use behind enemy lines (age 7 )
  • Complete your "Flight Training Manual" to receive a Tuskegee Airmen Congressional Gold Medal Button (age 5 )
