Space Day is an annual favorite at the National Air and Space Museum where visitors enjoy hands-on activities and learn about space from Museum experts. All of the activities take place amid the awe-inspiring collection of historic aviation and space artifacts in the Museum’s National Mall building.
Activity Stations • 3-2-1 Lift Off! - Rockets for all ages (hands-on will include Alka-Seltzer, stomp, and stackable) • Mission to the Moon - Go to astronaut training school and pick up moon rocks • Build an International Space Station - Group build a station with recycled materials - watch it take shape on Flickr! • Design a Mission Patch • Make an astronaut paper doll • Build a Hubble Space Telescope
