Lisa Young, Museum Conservator, will discuss the conservation of objects on display in the Barron Hilton Pioneers of Flight Gallery and talk about some of the techniques conservators used to prepare objects for a gallery.  A tour of the gallery to discuss the object mounts, lighting, and other preservation techniques will be included.

The Ask An Expert lecture series at the National Mall building is presented every Wednesday at noon. A Museum staff member talks to the public about the history, collection, or personalities related to a specific artifact or exhibition in the Museum.

The Barron Hilton Pioneers of Flight Gallery, located in the National Mall building, is an exhibition about the  growth and influence of aviation and rocketry during the 1920s and 1930s. The fully-renovated gallery will open to the public Nov. 19, 2010.
