National Air and Space Museum scientist Thomas Watters has received the 2018 Smithsonian Distinguished Scholar Award in the Sciences. 

On June 3 in the Rasmuson Theater at the National Museum of the American Indian, Watters will deliver a lecture about his work. 

The lecture will explore our current understanding of the Moon, focusing on Apollo-era scientific data combined with data collected by the currently active Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission.
