Join us for our first in-person, on site Soar Together @ Air and Space Family Day, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the aircraft carrier!

  • Meet aircraft carrier crew members and find out about their lives at sea.
  • Explore different jobs through hands-on activities.
  • Learn how to identify aircraft that land on carriers using Museum artifacts.
  • Join us for a free IMAX showing of Aircraft Carrier: Guardian of the Seas at 2:20 pm.

If there is inclement weather on Saturday, March 12, and the Museum is closed or has a delayed opening, the on-site event will be cancelled.  Please check this page or the Museum’s homepage for the event’s status.

Soar Together @ Air and Space is a monthly family-focused program from the National Air and Space Museum. By engaging in these activities and experiences, families can imagine their own futures by sharing in the stories of innovators and explorers from diverse backgrounds who challenged conventions and changed the world. Each month we will focus on a different theme.
