For the first time in over 20 years, the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis has been lowered to the floor, presenting a unique opportunity for Museum visitors to get a closer look at the plane Charles Lindbergh used to complete the first solo transatlantic flight. The <em>Spirit of St. Louis</em> was lowered January 14, 2015 as part of the <em>Boeing Milestones of Flight Hall</em> renovation. Visitors can observe the museum’s conservation staff while they clean and preserve the artifact.
