We are opening our doors to your family for a day full of hands-on activities, inspiring women, and fun challenges to celebrate women’s contributions to space, aviation, and STEM fields.

Our family day is designed to introduce every member of your unique family to groundbreaking women of the past and the women driving us into the future.

Meet Inspiring Women Working in the Field Today

NASA’s Catherine Barclay shares her favorite female space heroes and how women contribute to space exploration today.

F-16 pilot, Heather Penney, tells her story of responding to 9/11.  

STEM professionals and air traffic controllers are ready to answer your questions about a career in science and flight.

Our curators will  talk about astronaut Barbies, space-themed toys, women working in space, and military demonstration pilots.    

Challenge Your Family and Friends

Can you complete our “Heroines in the Museum” treasure map? Successful adventurers will take their own heroine card home.  

Move a LEGO robot through a maze by learning basic coding or try your hand at using binary code like early space engineers.

Test your skills in our flight simulators.

Join Girl Scout and Brownie troops in a build your own flyer design challenge.
