Five spacecraft are currently traveling fast enough to escape the gravitational pull of the Sun (Voyagers 1  and 2, Pioneers 10 and 11, and New Horizons). It will take a while, but all five will eventually wander within our galaxy as humanity’s first ambassadors to the stars. In this week's Ask an Expert on Facebook Live, planetary scientist Jim Zimbelman will review the missions of all five spacecraft and discuss how far they are from the Sun and where they are headed.
