Bring the whole family as we learn about the incredible contributions of women in aviation, science, and aerospace. Enjoy hands-on activities, guest speakers, a theatrical presentation, book signings, and Flights of Fancy Story Time for our youngest visitors. This event is in partnership with the Girl Scouts and helps commemorate their 100th Anniversary. The Heritage Family Day series is made possible by the generous support of Northrop Grumman Corporation.
A volunteer from the Civil Air Patrol helps young visitors learn about control surfaces in the Cessna 150 Airplane. The girls are participating in the annual Women in Aviation and Space Family Day at the National Air and Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center.
We rely on the generous support of donors, sponsors, members, and other benefactors to share the history and impact of aviation and spaceflight, educate the public, and inspire future generations. With your help, we can continue to preserve and safeguard the world’s most comprehensive collection of artifacts representing the great achievements of flight and space exploration.
