Apollo 11 Data Acquisition Camera

Apollo 11 Data Acquisition Camera

Mounted in the right-hand window of the lunar module Eagle, this camera filmed the first landing on the Moon and the  “one small step” made by Neil Armstrong. Astronauts Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin later repositioned it to film their work on the lunar surface. Before coming the Museum, the artifact was a part of a larger collection of objects stored in Armstrong's closet.
