A close-up image of the model's saucer captured with reflected infrared photography. A modified DSLR camera with a special filter was used in the 715-1000nm range of the electromagnetic spectrum. At these wavelengths, we can see through the model's uppermost paint layers to reveal the carbon-rich original pencil lines drawn on the model's saucer.
