Radar Map of the Moon
Radar signals at 12.6-cm wavelength can probe 1-5 meters below the Moon's surface and measure the abundance of rocks about 2 cm and larger in diameter. Image spatial resolution is 80 meters per pixel. Topographic & shaded relief image of the nearside (colored areas, 70 S to 70 N).
Black and white areas are radar coverage.
