The Curtiss SB2C-5 Helldiver WWII dive-bomber was moved into display position inside the Udvar-Hazy Center's Boeing Aviation Hangar on Thursday, March 27, 2014. The aircraft was the first to be restored inside the Center's new Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar. Here, Collections specialists move the newly restored aircraft into the north end of the Boeing Aviation Hangar after a short outdoor trip around the corner from the Mary Baker Engen Restoration Hangar. The 15 month restoration is officially completed on April 1st when one last panel is secured to the aircraft.
