Members of the first Negro Navigation Cadets were guests of New York Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia at City Hall (2/16/44) shortly before they were to receive their commissions in the Army Air Corps. Navigation was one of the specialties needed for the segregated Tuskegee Army Air Field porgram.
