
Daniel Ravizza originally trained as a machinist and toolmaker. He holds a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and an MA in Conservation Studies from West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, UK. Ravizza is currently a staff conservator at the Smithsonian, National Air and Space Museum. His range of interests include all aspects of fine art metalworking, including traditional and modern metalworking techniques as well as the preservation of traditional craft skills. He is passionate about the conservation and preservation of industrial, scientific and technological artifacts, as well as the conservation of modern materials.
