Dr. Andrew K. Johnston
Andrew Johnston performs research on environmental dynamics and geophysical processes on Earth's land surface. His research has utilized satellite remote sensing to investigate land cover changes, patterns of human settlement, and changes in forest cover and canopy structure. He has applied remote sensing, geospatial analysis, and field survey techniques in research projects aimed at better understanding geophysical processes of Earth and other terrestrial planets. He received his PhD in Geographical Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park, an MA in geography from the University of Maryland and a BA in geography from George Washington University.
