    Art Wegner is an executive vice president of Raytheon Company and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raytheon Aircraft. He joined Raytheon Company in July 1993 as a senior vice president and was appointed chairman and CEO of Raytheon's Beech Aircraft Corporation. In September 1994, he was appointed Chairman and CEO of Raytheon Aircraft, which was formed by the merger of Raytheon subsidiaries Beech Aircraft and Raytheon Corporate Jets. He was elected an executive vice president of Raytheon Company in March of 1995.

    Art Wegner was born in Madison, Wisconsin on June 23, 1937. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1960. After service with the U. S. Navy in nuclear submarines, he received a master's degree in business administration from Harvard University in 1969.

    Art Wegner came to Raytheon Company after 20 years with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where he was executive vice president and president of UTC's Aerospace and Defense Sector. Prior to that he was president of the Pratt and Whitney Division.

    Art is past chairman of the board of directors of the General Aviation Manufacturers Association, the Aerospace Industries Association, and a member of the board of Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation. He is a member of the Navy League and the Association of the U.S. Army; a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers; and a member and corporate council chairman of the Kansas Nature Conservancy.
