Capt. Kenneth D. Waugh’s first solo flight was Aug 27, 1950, in a J-3 Piper. Passed private pilot test Nov 28, 1950 at Davenport, IA. Certified Commercial Pilot on Sep 2, 1955 at Cedar Rapids, IA.

In Nov 1955 I started training with United Air Lines at Denver, CO. I started flying the line Mar 30, 1956. I received a type rating as Boeing 727 captain on Mar 20, 1969 and entered schedule as Captain in June 1969. Promoted to DC-8 Captain in August 1983. I started flying as Captain on DC-10 in August of 1984. I retired on March 30, 1988.

I closed out my log book in 1988 with 21,500 hours.
