    Clark J. Beck, Jr. is a native of Wichita, Kansas. He attended the University of Wichita and received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He worked at the university wind tunnel and also at Beech Aircraft while attending the university. Clark served in the US Air Force at the Arnold Engineering Development Center in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

    He joined the Boeing Company in 1958 and was with Boeing until he retired in 1993. He worked with the Structures Engineering Staff and specialized in vibration and noise problems associated with aircraft and space vehicles. Aircraft and spacecraft programs he participated in include: B-47, B-52, Saturn 1C Launch Vehicle, AW ACS, 737, Supersonic Transport, Minuteman, B-l, IUS launch vehicle and the 777 airplane.

    In 1999 he became a docent at the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington to share his aviation and space experience with others and to join a community of those who have found aviation and space to be a great lifetime experience.
