    Honored by:
    Mrs. Nancy J. Phelps

My brother, Dan, lost his life in WWII when his submarine, the Swordfish, was sunk near Okinawa sometime after January 30, 1945. In his distinguished career, after graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy, he served on destroyers in the Atlantic, PT boats in the South Pacific, including New Guinea, and had some time in flight training. He loved flying and was already signed up to work for an aircraft company after the war ended, if he had survived.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
