Left the safety of the United States after the fall of France in summer ’40 and enlisted in the RCAF to assist Britain then the sole “White Knight” standing alone against Nazi Germany. Shipped to England after training completed fall of ’41. Participated in the 1000 bomber raids by the RAF in ’42, & ’43 . Killed in action over Berlin August 23/24, 1943 one day before his 23rd birthday August, 1943 (Born 8/25/43).
