Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum Archives photographs, drawings, film, audio recordings or other materials may not be reproduced, resold, or commercially used without specific written permission from the Smithsonian Institution.

Permission to reproduce works in the collections of the National Air and Space Museum Archives must be requested in writing. The request must indicate the exact purpose of the reproduction, including title, author, publisher, approximate print run and publication date for books or magazines or equivalent information for video, film, web or other use.

Please note there will be a charge for digital images and there may be additional usage fees.  Usage fees, when applicable, may be paid with checks in US dollars drawn on a US bank, money orders, MasterCard or Visa.

Please identify materials by Smithsonian Institution negative number or other identifying number.

If identifying numbers are not known, please send photocopies of the materials (with information on where they are credited to National Air and Space Museum) with your application.
