Scope and Contents

This collection consists of audio recordings, in the format of LP records, pertaining to the Apollo program. The first is a boxed set produced by Time-Life in 1969 entitled To the Moon which includes a set of LP records ("Part I: The Story in Sound") and a hardcover book ("Part II: The Story in Pictures and Text"). The second title is Man on the Moon, narrated by Walter Cronkite, and produced by CBS News. There is a General Electric promotional page "Silicones to the Moon" adhered to reverse of this album. The third title is On the Moon with Apollo 16, Highlights Recorded by the Houston Manned Spacecraft Center produced by Yorkshire Records, 1972. The collection also contains a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) publication from April 1972 entitled, On the Moon with Apollo 16, A Guidebook to the Descartes Region.
