Scope and Contents

This collection consists of twelve photographs (two are two prints of the same image) collected by Seth Cook of the Army Air Corps between 1918-1923. The following aircraft are featured: de Havilland (Airco) D.H.4; Curtiss R-6 Army Racer; and Curtiss JN-4 Jenny. The following aviation personalities are included: James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle; Lester Maitland; Oakley Kelly; John Macready; Orville Wright; and Seth Cook. Several of the photographs were taken at or near Rockwell Field, San Diego, California.
