William B. Folsom is a professional photographer and teacher of photography living in Northern Virginia. His work has appeared on over one hundred magazine and book covers and in numerous articles. He is the author of three books on photography, and is the resident photographer at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia.

Scope and Contents

This collection consists of approximately 5000 color slides taken by Mr. Folsom between 1980 and 2005. Subjects include U.S. military aircraft, foreign military aircraft, civil and general aviation, helicopters, and aircraft in museums. Non-aviation subjects include U.S. Navy ships, service personnel, military insignia and ceremonies. Three CD-ROM discs of digital photographs are also included with images from aviation museums. One folder of photographic prints by Robert A. Bostic, Jr is also included.
